Celtic is pleased to announce the appointments of Mark Keane and Raymond Buchanan as new Non-Executive Directors. Mark’s appointment will take effect immediately and Raymond’s appointment will take effect following the conclusion of his current role.

Mark is the founder of Slievemore, a Scotland-based family investment office with interests in retail, property, leisure, development and investment. He has over 25 years' experience in property investment, development and retail businesses and is a significant shareholder in Celtic.

Raymond Buchanan is currently Director of Corporate Affairs at Scottish Water. Previously, Raymond held senior communications and public affairs roles at SSE plc and Weir plc, having earlier worked as a correspondent and presenter with the BBC.

Celtic Interim Chairman Brian Wilson said: “I am pleased to confirm that we have appointed two new Non-Executive Directors to fill vacancies created by the retirements of Peter Lawwell and Tom Allison. This process of board refreshment will continue.

“Our two new directors have excellent credentials, both as lifelong Celtic supporters and highly successful individuals in their professional careers.

"They will bring new ideas and insights to enhance the work of the board, its oversight of the club’s affairs and strengthening of relationships within the whole Celtic Family."

Mark Keane (55) comes from a background of deep Celtic involvement. His father, John, played a critical role at a key moment in the club’s history and Mark inherited his love of the club and its identity. In his own right, Mark has built a successful business career in property and retailing. 

Raymond Buchanan grew up as a Celtic supporter on the Isle of Barra. When he came to Glasgow as a student, his first job was as a waiter in the Walfrid Restaurant at Celtic Park.

Since then, he has developed successful careers as a broadcaster and subsequently in communications and corporate relations at senior levels in FTSE 100 companies. Raymond is aged 49.

"I look forward to working with colleagues and using my experience to help Celtic continue to flourish for generations to come.”
