Aranbarri without three players for Eibar’s second pre-season test | OneFootball

Eibar face Athletic at Gazituaga on Saturday at 19:00 in their second pre-season test. Aranbarri will be without three players due to load management, so he has turned to the B team to complete the squad.

As reported by as.com, Eibar showed encouraging signs in their opener against higher-division Deportivo Alavés. Athletic arrive slightly further along and with greater depth.

From day one of pre-season, academy players Hugo García, Ibai Asenjo, Joseba Bermejo and Carlos Lumbreras have trained with the senior group. They are expected to remain until they secure moves or official competition begins.

In response to further setbacks, Oier Llorente Korta, Lukas Sarasketa and Jonan Gromaz have also joined sessions on the natural grass at Areitio and been named in the squad to face the rojiblancos. The inclusion of Sarasketa, born in 2006, carries added interest after previous rumours linking him with Lezama.

While Jon Guruzeta, Peru Nolaskoain, Lander Olaetxea and Luis López continue their recoveries, Juan Bernat, Aritz Arambarri and Jair Amador will not feature at Gazituaga, the decision reflecting early pre-season load control.

Iván Gil will also sit out, the attacking midfielder from Las Palmas having joined training roughly a week later. Goalkeeper Jonmi Magunagoitia is set for his first run-out after overcoming a right calf muscle overload.
