After Real Madrid’s last-minute victory against Celta Vigo at Balaidos, manager Alvaro Arbeloa stressed the importance of the result, especially considering the numerous absences his team had going into the match.
During his remarks, the coach highlighted the performances of several players who contributed significantly to the win, including young midfielder Thiago Pitarch and veteran star Ferland Mendy.
However, amid the praise, Arbeloa also delivered a comment that, according to journalist Javi Herraez on El Larguero, was a pointed remark at midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.
“I’m very happy with the attitude, with those who wanted to come and who came to push the team. These are the moments when you see the Real Madrid players, and today I saw many of them,” Arbeloa said.
The phrase “those who wanted to come” quickly became the focus of attention, as it appeared to allude to Camavinga.

The midfielder did not travel with the squad to Vigo due to a dental problem related to his molars, having missed the game against Getafe already due to the same reason.
The French international trained with the group on Friday, but was ultimately not called up to the squad.
Arbeloa’s words hinted that Camavinga might have pushed harder to be available, similar to how other players have done in difficult circumstances.
Raul Asencio, for one, played the game after pushing himself to return from a neck injury. Dani Carvajal was in the squad despite dealing with a stomach bug, as per reports.
Camavinga has also faced increasing criticism during the season due to inconsistent performances. Things seemed to be improving for him as he had begun playing regularly under Arbeloa.
While the coach did not mention Camavinga directly, the timing and wording of the statement led many to see it as a clear message about commitment and availability during a difficult stretch of the season.
