Arboleda rues Brasileirão setback | OneFootball

After a 2-1 defeat to Santos this Friday (2) at MorumBIS, in a match valid for the 21st round of the Brasileirão, center-back Arboleda spoke at the end of the game.

“I’m sorry we weren’t able to come away with the three points. I think the first half was wonderful; we did what the coach asked. Unfortunately, we conceded two goals due to a lack of concentration. Now we have to keep our heads up and think about the next match, another final for us, because every game is a final for us. We’ll keep working in the best way possible. I just want to apologize to the fans,” he said.

The Ecuadorian also revealed that the team’s focus is now on the next challenge in the league.

“We went in search of the second goal, but unfortunately, in a moment of lost concentration, we ended up conceding the comeback. Now it’s just about working and already thinking about Wednesday’s match,” he concluded.

São Paulo return to the field against Cruzeiro next Wednesday (7) at 9:30 p.m. at Mineirão, as the Brazilian Championship continues.
