Crystal Palace’s 3-1 win over Tottenham keeps Leeds United a place and two points ahead of Spurs, with Archie Gray’s side now facing a mounting relegation threat.
Leeds Live highlights the deepening crisis at Tottenham. Spurs sit one point above the relegation zone and are the only Premier League side without a league win in 2026.
Spurs have lost five on the bounce since drawing 2-2 with Manchester City on 1 February. Leeds stay 15th despite taking only two points from their last four matches.
Leeds academy graduate Gray assisted Dominic Solanke’s opener against Palace and also created Richarlison’s header in Sunday’s 2-1 loss to Fulham, his first league assists of the season. He earlier forced an own goal from Bodo/Glimt’s Jostein Gundersen to equalise in the 89th minute of a Champions League tie last September.
He had also scored in the reverse fixture with Palace, Tottenham’s last league victory, a 1-0 win, then doubled his season tally with an equaliser against Newcastle United.
Peter Crouch told TNT Sports: "Archie Gray was the best player for Tottenham, and he's 19 years old".
Spurs interim head coach Igor Tudor told TNT Sports: "After this game, I believe in them more than before, maybe it sounds strange, but this is it".
Gray is due to face his old club on the weekend of 9 May, when Leeds visit north London for a potentially pivotal meeting.
