The Wales U21 international is the son of Weymouth hero Andy Harris and was scouted at a Dorchester ID centre. He had loans at Torquay United and Truro City, then spent last season with Eastleigh in the National League.

Harris impressed in Hampshire, making 41 appearances, registering eight assists and earning the club’s young player of the season award.

He was also a standout for Alan Connell’s development squad in recent years and gained first-team exposure, making the matchday squad twice against Crystal Palace and Fulham.

Wigan finished 16th in League One last season and will look to build on that.
