Arena debt analyst says he worked for free out of love | OneFootball

According to TV Alambrado Alvinegro, financial expert and investigator Anisio Castelo Branco says he reviewed the Neo Química Arena debt for free. He alleges serious irregularities in contracts with Caixa Econômica Federal and says Corinthians directors ignored him and later treated him with disrespect.

He said he took on the work out of love for the club, having supported Corinthians since he was 14 after moving from Piauí and seeing the 10-1 win over Tiradentes-PI. He did not charge R$ 1,00, saying the audit, addenda review and spreadsheet checks were voluntary.

He said he sought to deliver his findings directly to senior figures in a bid to save the club tens or even hundreds of millions of reais in alleged improper charges. He said attempts to reach the president brought no reply, and when a meeting finally happened he felt his work was dismissed.

He pointed to entries of R$ 1 million and R$ 3 million, plus a line labelled 'PENA'. He also argued an addendum tied to the CDI produced more than R$ 25 million in unjustified burden on Corinthians.

He questioned repeated references by club figures to kpmg and Machado Meyer as validators, doubting either audited the figures point by point. His account portrays a missed chance, offered at no cost, to challenge what he views as abusive bank charges.
