Argentina, the reigning world champions, will base themselves in Kansas City for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada, the AFA announced.
The location was selected for its travel logistics between host cities and, above all, the comfort it offers the delegation.
The decision was reached by fitness coach Luis Martín, assistant fitness coach Juan Tamone, and administrators Daniel Cabrera and Alberto Pernas.
Lionel Scaloni’s side open on 16 June against Algeria at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City in Group J.
They then play Austria and Jordan in Dallas on 22 and 27 June. The delegation will have a one and a half hour journey.
