Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram will start in attack for Inter Milan against Empoli tomorrow.
This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews. They also report that Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be fit enough to start the Serie A clash on the bench.
Inter take on Empoli in Serie A tomorrow. They host the Tuscan side at the San Siro.
It is certainly a match that the Nerazzurri will be the favourites to win.
However, Inter drew their last match, which was also at the San Siro. They had to settle for a point after a frenetic 2-2 stalemate against Bologna.
According to Mediaset, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will go with his first-choice attacking duo tomorrow.
That means that captain Lautaro Martinez will partner Marcus Thuram to lead the Nerazzurri line.
Inzaghi is well aware of the need to take three points. Particularly with Napoli and Atalanta facing off today, there is an opportunity for Inter to turn the pressure back up in the Serie A title race.
Therefore, Inzaghi will not rest Martinez or Thuram tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Mediaset report, Henrikh Mkhitaryan will start on the bench tomorrow.
The Armenian has missed Inter’s last couple matches. But he has returned to fitness.
However, Mkhitaryan is likely to come on as a substitute rather than starting.
