UEFA cancelled that showpiece because it was due to be staged in Doha, Qatar, a country involved in the Middle East conflict. The Finalissima is contested by the Copa America winners and the European champions.

These will be Argentina’s final home outings before the next World Cup, which runs from 11 June to 19 July. Argentina are the holders.

In the group stage they will face Algeria on 17 June, Austria on 22 June and Jordan on 28 June.
