Flamengo and Estudiantes meet in October for a place in the Libertadores final, yet some Flamengo supporters are already planning caravans to Montevideo, drawing mockery from Argentina.

According to El Dia in La Plata, groups of fans have begun promoting trips on social media for a potential final in Montevideo, even though the Brazilian side still need to overcome Estudiantes.

The initiative, dubbed Flarice, is organising departures from Porto Alegre and Rio de Janeiro on 25 and 26 November bound for Montevideo, with returns the day after the showpiece. The final is slated for 28 November at Estadio Centenario.

Estudiantes supporters have shared the plans online, calling it a "mufa", roughly a jinx. Flamengo fans argue it is simply advance planning, something they say also happened before previous Libertadores finals.

The semi-final is scheduled for 15 and 22 October, the first leg in Argentina and the second at the Maracanã. The opening venue remains unconfirmed as the hosts must guarantee a 4,000-seat away section under CONMEBOL rules, while Estudiantes’ UNO has capacity for 2,000.

On the other side of the draw, Fluminense face Palmeiras for the other berth. The first leg is set for 14 October at the Maracanã, with the return under Palmeiras’ control yet to be assigned for the same reason.
