Armando Broja has completed a late Deadline Day loan deal to Everton on loan.

The striker will be on loan at Goodison Park until the end of the season, with a £30m option to buy included in the deal. That looks wishful thinking at this stage – but you just never know.

Broja had quite the summer – for a long while it appeared that he was going to Ipswich on a similar deal to the one that now takes him to Everton.

That deal was then off because of worries about his injury status – then today it was back on again.

Finally, Ipswich pulled the plug. But Everton, in their late window desperation to secure a striker, have accepted essentially the same deal that the Tractor Boys turned their nose up at. Broja looks set to be out for more than a month injured – but the Toffees are banking on him coming back and finding some of the form that made him a hot property to begin with.
