Arne Slot's decision making has been questioned by many this season.
The Dutchman has come under plenty of scrutiny since the 2025-26 campaign kicked off with many fans questioning whether he's the right man to take Liverpool forward.
Indeed, his first-team squad are finally starting to gel after half a season of misfortune and now, it seems like we're seeing the side of Liverpool that fans expected from the very start.
Some tough decisions have had to be made by Slot this term and, to be honest, one of them seems to have worked exactly in his favour.
At the start of the 2025-26 season, Aaron Briggs was Liverpool's set-piece coach, and, since the start of the campaign, set-pieces have been their Achilles heel.

The Reds have one of the worst defensive records in the Premier League when it comes to set-pieces, however, since Briggs was sacked, the Anfield outfit haven't conceded a single set-piece.
Indeed, Harrison Reed's 35-yard screamer may have started from a throw in, but, since the assist didn't come from directly from Antonee Robinson the 30 year old's goal is classed as open play.
It was also clear that Marco Silva's men weren't set up to score a goal either as, with how far Reed was away from the net, the xG of his shot will have been ridiculously low.
And, even if you asked him to recreate his goal, it's highly unlikely that he'd be able to.
Now that Slot seems to have got Liverpool's set-pieces under control, it feels like their true colours can start to shine through.
That is, especially if the Reds start to score a few more goals from open play.
Although set-pieces have been the bane of their existence this term, their lack of open play goals has hindered them massively.
Over the last couple of months, many fans have felt like the 2025-26 campaign was set to be a trophyless one but, with Mohamed Salah returning from AFCON and both Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike putting in some exceptional performances, their hopes of winning a trophy could be back on.
Slot's men still have the FA Cup and Champions League to fight for which are two major trophies.
In fact, if Arsenal lose one or two games and the Reds stay unbeaten, they could even be in with a chance for the Premier League title.
There's no knowing what could happen in the future, but, at the moment, things seem to be on the up in L4 which is all that fans could ask for.
