Arne Slot says Alexander Isak could return to the Liverpool squad for Sunday’s game against Manchester City.

The striker will again miss out when the Reds take on Real Madrid in the Champions League due to injury.

Alisson and Jeremie Frimpong also remained sidelined this week and, unlike Isak, will definitely not be back for the weekend either.

“All three are not available tomorrow,” Slot said.

“Jeremie and Alisson will both not be available for Sunday [at Manchester City].

“With Alex, we have to wait and see. He definitely is not starting on Sunday, but maybe he can be in the squad.

“But he is still not training with the team so we have to wait and see.”

Liverpool have been boosted by the return of midfielder Curtis Jones, however, who trained ahead of the game.
