Liverpool may be about to try something different in an incredible change of plans. Arne Slot teased it this week.
Arne Slot now has a wealth of options at his disposal. We're not sure if he knows exactly what to do with all the talent at Liverpool - the Reds's summer rebuild has shaken things up dramatically.
Go back to last season and Darwin Nunez, for instance. Slot never seemed like the biggest fan of the Uruguayan and while he got some great moments out of him, Nunez was rarely seen across the second half of the season.

Things are very different now. Slot somehow has to find regular minutes for both Hugo Ekitiké and Alexander Isak. The latter is now the most expensive signing in British football history, while the former has started the campaign on fire (and was hardly cheap himself).
It's a difficult task given Slot has operated with one centre-forward for the entirety of his reign at Anfield. But is that now about to change?
Liverpool tried something different in the second half against Southampton on Tuesday. Slot threw Jayden Danns into the mix, with Ekitiké having replaced Isak at half time.
The pair of them were suddenly a very imposing front two, with Danns a little bit deeper than the Frenchman. The Reds had a permanent out-ball with the pair, able to loft it up right to the furthest line and both strikers were capable of physically competing with centre-backs.
