Arne Slot ‘to bring in’ set-piece specialist Etiënne Reijnen at Liverpool

Two years after arriving at Liverpool, Arne Slot is expected to add set-piece specialist Etiënne Reijnen to his staff.

The Telegraph reports that Liverpool are recruiting a set-piece coach, and that Slot should finally be able to reunite with Reijnen, his former Feyenoord colleague, having tried to bring him in when he replaced Jürgen Klopp in 2024.

It would be a significant addition after a Premier League season that crowned Arsenal and highlighted the influence of French specialist Nicolas Jover.

Mikel Arteta’s side scored 18 goals from corners, an all-time Premier League record.

Across all set plays, including corners, free-kicks, penalties and throw-ins, Arsenal registered 28 goals, nine more than Liverpool, who ranked seventh in the league for that metric.
