Flamengo could have Arrascaeta and Jorginho available for their Brasileirão opener against São Paulo on Wednesday 28, according to Coluna Do Fla.

The first team have already begun 2026, facing Vasco and Fluminense, but still had important absences.

The pair were not available for the derby with Fluminense on Sunday 15.

Of the six absentees, Arrascaeta and Jorginho have the best chance to feature. The other absences are Saúl, Danilo, Ayrton Lucas and De La Cruz.

The match, part of round one of the Campeonato Brasileiro, is at Morumbi from 21:30 Brasília time.

As defending champions, Flamengo will chase a 10th national crown in 2026. As last year, Filipe Luís has said the club’s main targets are the Libertadores and the Brasileirão.
