Arrascaeta is intensifying his physiotherapy to keep alive his World Cup hopes after a calf injury put his participation at risk.
According to Coluna Do Fla, the Uruguay playmaker sustained a grade 2 calf problem during the national team's preparation camp, a diagnosis that raised immediate concern and prompted a swift medical response.
Flamengo physiotherapist Laniyan Neves, who works with the No 10 at club level, has been called in and will accompany him with Uruguay, maintaining continuity in his specialised care.
The tailored programme, alongside his ongoing recovery from collarbone surgery, underpins hopes of a full return.
His rehabilitation is timed towards Uruguay's World Cup opener against Saudi Arabia, although he is not expected to be available for that first match.
