Even before their Champions League exit on Wednesday night, Arsenal wanted to bolster their attack this summer.

Arsenal have scouted a number of targets over the past year and they are set for a busy transfer window.

Standard Sport looks at some of the players on Arsenal’s radar…

Alexander Isak is Mikel Arteta’s dream signing

The Newcastle striker would undoubtedly be the dream signing for Arsenal this summer given his Premier League pedigree.

Newcastle are adamant the Swede is not for sale, however, and their hand will be strengthened if they qualify for the Champions League.

Arsenal are long-term admirers of Isak after scouting him during his time at Real Sociedad and he fits the profile of striker they want with his movement and quality of finishing inside the box.

Much of the focus is on Arsenal’s need for a No9, but their left flank also requires more competition.

Arsenal looked at Williams last summer, however he elected to stay at Athletic Bilbao for another season.

The winger is expected to be on the move this time, though, and he has a release clause of around £50million.

Williams’ wage demands could prove to be an issue, while he is also attracting interest from Barcelona as well.

Benjamin Sesko is again set to be a popular summer target

Still only 21, the striker has been tipped as a star of the future.

Compared to Erling Haaland due to his huge 6ft5in frame, Sesko looks like he could cope with the physicality of the Premier League.

Arsenal were one of several sides keen on him last summer, but he elected to sign a new deal with RB Leipzig and stay another year.

Sesko is set to go this summer, however, after scoring 20 goals in all competitions this season.

Eberechi Eze continues to shine at Crystal Palace

Eberechi Eze

This is a wildcard option, but Arsenal feel light on creativity as well as goals.

Martin Odegaard is their only real playmaker and he needs more competition and support.

Eze could play alongside Odegaard as a left No8, while the 26-year-old can operate on the left flank, too.

He is proven in the Premier League and, at 26, is coming into his prime. A return to the club where Eze started his youth career could suit all parties.

Viktor Gyokeres has experience of English football

The Swede has been a goal machine out in Portugal and he has scored over 50 goals this season.

A move this summer seems a certainty, but there are doubts as to whether his prolific form could be replicated in the Premier League.

Like Sesko, Gyokeres has a physical profile that would suit Arsenal’s attack given his height, pace and power.

At 26, the striker is entering his prime years and he would be a signing for the here and now.
