Victor Osimhen is reportedly eyeing a move away from Napoli, but nothing has materialized yet this summer. The Nigerian striker has been linked with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain, but so far, no transfer has taken place, and his agent is left puzzled.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently shared that while Osimhen is considering a move, he has no intention of taking a pay cut or accepting a straight loan deal. Chelsea remains interested, but only if the terms or Osimhen’s stance change.
Meanwhile, RadioRadio reports that Arsenal is making a strong push to sign Osimhen as the transfer window nears its end. However, it seems he’s already leaning towards joining PSG, who have offered him a much higher salary than Arsenal.
While speaking to Il Corriere dello Sport, the Napoli star’s agent, Antonio Caliendo, is left puzzled as to why no team has made an aggressive move to land his client and bolster their attack for next season.
“There’s so much negligence today,” Caliendo said (h/t Le10Sport). “Just look at how things are being handled. He’s worth €200 million, yet he’s stuck on the sidelines, waiting for who knows what.
“I know Calenda—he’s the one who blocked Maicon’s transfer to Real Madrid. He’s not welcome in Brazil! I really feel for Osimhen. He’s a fantastic striker, powerful, and incredibly fast. It’s heartbreaking to see him in this situation.”
Osimhen wasn’t even on the bench for Napoli’s first official match against Modena in the Coppa Italia. The club’s focus remains unchanged: they’re looking to secure a new club for Osimhen and bring in Romelu Lukaku.
