Arsenal and Liverpool are looking at Wolves defender Rayan Ait-Nouri as the duo look to add to their options at left-back.
Both teams are missing key personnel defensively and are considering approaches to sign Ait-Nouri from the Midlands clubs.
Oleksandr Zinchenko remains a doubt for this weekend’s clash against Crystal Palace for Arsenal, who are also without Jurrien Timber (ACL) and Takehiro Tomiyasu (Asian Cup). Arsenal have Kieran Tierney on loan at Real Sociedad though a recall is not likely.

Football Transfers are reporting that Liverpool are also interested in Ait-Nouri. Joe Gomez has deputised at left-back in recent weeks for the Reds, with both Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas sidelined through injury.
Wolves are understood to value the 22-year-old at around £50m and it remains to be seen whether either side is capable of financing a deal in the current window. A transfer is further complicated by Ait-Nouri’s involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations with Algeria
Arsenal want to add options in both full-back positions across the coming transfer windows, but need to sell before additions can be made. The Gunners spent more than £200m on new players in the summer and have little room to manoeuvre given the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.
The North Londoners are also interested in Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong, who has a release clause of €40m (£34m) that will become active in the summer.
