The 20-year-old midfielder is regarded as one of the finest talents in the German league right now, and he could prove to be a quality long-term investment for the English clubs.

Arsenal need more quality and depth in the middle of the park and the 20-year-old could be the ideal signing for them. He is capable of operating as a deep-lying playmaker as well as a defensive midfielder. He could be the ideal alternative to Jorginho, who is in the twilight stages of his career.

As far as Liverpool are concerned, Wataru Endo has fallen down the pecking order at the club, and it would not be a surprise if he is sold in the summer. Liverpool will need to replace him adequately and the 20-year-old would be a quality long-term option for them.

Hugo Larsson open to staying

Plettenberg claims that the midfielder has a contract with the German club until 2029, and it does not include a release clause. Frankfurt are not keen on selling him at the end of the season and they are under no pressure to cash in on the player because of his long-term contract.

The midfielder reportedly feels comfortable at the German club as well. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal or Liverpool can convince him to move to English football in the summer.

The opportunity to play in the Premier League can be quite exciting for most players and it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds.
