In a recent report, TuttoJuve mentioned that Arsenal are among the clubs hoping to land Atletico Madrid star Nahuel Molina. It is believed that the Gunners will have to rival Aston Villa, Manchester City and Juventus in the race to land the Argentine talent.
The 25-year-old had an impressive season at the Madrid club after he put in a run of influential displays for them on the right flank. Molina managed to score four times and earned four assists in 43 matches for his current employers in the previous campaign across all fronts.
The Embalse-born sensation was a decent performer in both halves based on his average of 2.1 tackles, 0.5 interceptions, 1.4 clearances, 0.6 shots, 1.2 key passes and 0.6 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. He even distributed possession accurately after making 79.4% of his attempted passes in the English first division (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Wanda Metropolitano will expire in the summer of 2027. Hence, it won’t be easy for the Gunners to acquire his services on the cheap next year.

Molina is a good tackler of the ball and can sense the danger quickly to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when required on the defensive third of the field.
The Argentine full-back has got the vision to create a few promising chances from the right flank and is a good dribbler with the ball as well. At 25, Molina has got his peak years ahead of him and could prove to be a shrewd acquisition for the Gunners this winter.
We can expect the Argentine right-back to add more quality to Mikel Arteta‘s defence and help Arsenal challenge across all fronts over the next few years. However, it remains to be seen whether he can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of Premier League football.
Still, there is no denying that Molina has what it takes to nail down a regular starting spot at the Emirates Stadium in the future. Hence, he would be a great option for the Gunners to consider this January.
