In a recent report, The Times claimed that Arsenal are confident about winning the race for Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers. It has been stated that the Gunners are optimistic about beating Manchester United and Chelsea in the race to sign the English attacker this summer.

Rogers’ Impressive Numbers In The Premier League

Rogers managed to prove his worth as a consistent performer for the Villans in the previous campaign. The 23-year-old participated in 55 matches for Aston Villa last season, scoring 14 times and earning 12 assists in all competitions.

The English sensation is currently among the best playmakers in the Premier League. Thus, the Gunners would do well to lure him to the Emirates Stadium this off-season.

His current contract at the West Midlands club will run out in the summer of 2031, which could make it difficult for Arsenal to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Will Rogers Be A Good Signing For Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta?

Rogers is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it in and around the opponent’s penalty area. He can strike the ball with power from long range and has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates on the offensive end of the field.

The English talent added a lot of goals and assists to his game last season. Rogers mainly functions as an attacking midfielder but can also play as a winger on either flank if asked to do so. He has already got some valuable experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the North London club.

We can expect Rogers to bring more quality and depth to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta’s frontline. He has what it takes to nail down a regular first-team spot at the Emirates Stadium next season.

At 23, Rogers has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a decent signing for the Gunners to pull off later this year. He will also help Arsenal compete for some major trophies in the future. Thus, Arteta would be wise to go all out to get him on board this summer.
