In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Arsenal are ready to move in for Athletic Bilbao speedster Nico Williams. It has been mentioned that the Gunners are eyeing a €90m move to sign the Spanish winger in this transfer window.
Williams enjoyed a good run of form at the Spanish club as he put in a string of impressive performances for them in the final third. The 23-year-old found the back of the net six times and picked up seven assists in 32 matches for Athletic Bilbao last season in all competitions.
The Spanish sensation is currently among the most feared wide players in La Liga. Therefore, it is no surprise that the Gunners are hoping to get him on board later this year.
His current contract at the Spanish club will run out in the summer of 2035. Hence, Arsenal would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting him in this transfer window.

Williams is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out in the wide areas. He has also got the vision to create some decent chances for his teammates in the final third and can shoot the ball with power from long range.
The Spanish sensation is primarily a left-winger but can also operate as a right-sided wide player if told to do so. However, it remains to be seen whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if the Gunners manage to get a deal done for him in this summer transfer window.
We can expect Williams to bring more pace and firepower to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s attack. He has what it takes to challenge for a regular starting place at the Emirates Stadium next season.
At 23, Williams has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a good option for the Gunners to pursue in this transfer window. All in all, Arteta would be wise to go for a winger with his skill set before the end of this transfer window.
