In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey revealed that Arsenal are willing to move in for Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez. It is understood that the Gunners are ready to launch a move for the Argentina international if he is open to a return to England this summer.

Alvarez’s Impressive Form In La Liga

Alvarez enjoyed a good run of form at the Madrid club in the previous campaign after he put in a series of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 26-year-old found the back of the net 20 times and secured nine assists in 49 matches for Los Blancos last season across all fronts.

The Argentine talent is currently among the most talented forwards in La Liga. Hence, the Gunners would do well to get a deal done to bring him back to England this summer.

His current contract at the Spanish club will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it tough for Arsenal to land him later this year.

Alvarez is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to create some promising chances for his teammates in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.

The Argentine talent has proven his worth as a consistent performer at the highest level. Alvarez is primarily a centre-forward but can also play as a winger on either flank if asked to do so. However, only time will tell whether he can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Gunners manage to sign him later this year.

We can expect Alvarez to bring more firepower to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s frontline. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the North London club next season.

At 26, Alvarez has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for the Gunners to consider in this ongoing transfer window. All in all, Arteta would be wise to go all out to snap him up this summer.
