Arsenal and Newcastle played out a five-goal thriller in Singapore with Martin Ødegaard's penalty seeing the Gunners claim a 3-2 victory.
Scorers: Merino 30, Murphy (OG) 33', Ødegaard (PEN) 86; Elanga 6', Murphy 74'
It was Newcastle who struck the early blow as new signing Anthony Elanga scored inside six minutes for his first in black and white stripes.
The Emirates outfit quickly turned things around however with two goals inside two second half minutes.
Mikel Merino and an Alex Murphy own goal gave the north London side a lead heading into half time.
Eddie Howe's weren't deterred though and they equalised with 15 minutes to go thanks to Jacob Murphy's excellent effort.
But Mikel Arteta's men re-took the lead with just minutes left as Ødegaard netted from the penalty spot after Max Dowman was fouled inside the area.
