Paris Saint-Germain have been linked to Napoli standout Victor Osimhen through the summer transfer window. However, if the Nigerian striker does arrive, one pundit believes that it’s not because of Luis Enrique and Luis Campos‘ doing.

Corriere dello Sport reported this week that Arsenal are ready to return with a bid near the new €100 million plus bonuses asking price. With the summer window set to close in a few days, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano provided the latest regarding the Napoli standout.

According to Romano, Osimhen’s future will be determined next week as the summer transfer window closes—whether he ends up at PSG, Chelsea, Saudi Arabia, or elsewhere.

Nonetheless, RMC Sport pundit Daniel Riolo believes that pursuing the 25-year-old would be a call from someone who isn’t Campos or Enrique.

“If Osimhen ends up in Paris, it would show that some important people at the club are making decisions without involving others,” Riolo said (h/t Diario AS). “This signing wouldn’t be from Luis Campos or Luis Enrique—it would be coming from elsewhere.”

RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins also recently reported that although PSG acknowledge its attacking problems are resolved, it’s not ruling out seeking Osimhen to make one last significant purchase this summer.

“PSG feel they’ve already strengthened their attack,” Hawkins said. “But with just a week left, they’ll stay alert. If there’s an opportunity to bring in Osimhen, who is eager to join, they won’t close the door on that possibility.”
