The 20-year-old winger will return to his native Brazil on an initial year-long loan lasting until January 2025.
Standard Sport understands that Fluminense have paid a loan fee for Marquinhos having beat rivals Corinthians to his signing, with the agreement also containing the option for a permanent summer transfer if certain clauses are met.
The player spent the first half of this season on loan in France with Nantes, but Arsenal exercised their option to recall him last month after he made just seven first-team appearances and registered only one assist.
Marquinhos was dispatched down to the Championship with Norwich for the second half of the 2022/23 campaign, scoring once and providing one assist in 11 outings for the Canaries.
He initially joined Arsenal from Sao Paulo in a £3million deal in the summer of 2022, providing one goal and an assist in six senior matches.
All of those appearances came between September 2022 and January 2023, with his last Arsenal outing coming in the 3-0 FA Cup third-round win at third-tier Oxford.

Marquinhos has recently been away with Brazil’s Under-23s team at the 2024 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament in Venezuela, where the young Selecao failed to qualify for Paris this summer in a huge shock after losing to both arch-rivals Argentina and Paraguay.
His club future was expected to be clarified after the tournament, which finished on Sunday. The transfer market in Brazil does not close until March, allowing the deal to through a fortnight after the closing of the mid-season window in England.
