Arsenal contacted over the availability of Barcelona attacker

Dani Olmo has been on Arsenal’s radar for years, and the Gunners were in the running to sign him when he played for RB Leipzig before the attacker eventually moved to Barcelona.

Olmo remains an important player for Barcelona and continues to perform well when given the opportunity, but the Catalan club have several game-changing players in their squad and could potentially afford to lose him.

At 28, Barcelona may feel the time is right to consider selling Olmo, while the attacker could also be open to leaving the club to test himself elsewhere.

Barcelona have made a strong start to the season, and Olmo has not played as much as he would have liked, although he remains an effective player whenever he is selected. His situation could therefore make a move possible if the right opportunity emerges.

Arsenal have maintained an interest in Olmo for several years, having previously considered signing him before he joined Barcelona. The Gunners could now have another chance to pursue the versatile attacker.

Olmo offered to Arsenal

Team Talk reports that intermediaries have offered Arsenal the opportunity to sign Olmo during the next transfer window. The report claims that the Gunners have been contacted regarding a potential move for the Barcelona player and are considering whether to add him to their squad.

A move would give Arsenal another experienced attacking option, while Olmo’s previous experience in European football would provide the Gunners with a player accustomed to competing at a high level.

Arsenal also have a budget available for a top player, and Olmo is not expected to cost as much as Vinicius Junior or Julian Alvarez would have cost them. That could make a potential deal more accessible if the Gunners decide to pursue their interest.
