Arsenal exploring move for Lyon winger Malick Fofana | OneFootball

Arsenal are reportedly attempting to secure the services of Olympique Lyonnais’ Malick Fofana (21), according to RMC Sport.

The London club are said to have made enquiries to assess the feasibility of signing the Belgian winger, who is under contract with Les Gones until 2028. Fofana, who is reportedly keen on the idea of joining the Gunners, is said to have other options as well. Crystal Palace, who were close to reaching an agreement with Lyon for the 21-year-old’s transfer, were thwarted when the player himself refused to join the Eagles.

Forced to raise funds following their failure to qualify for the Champions League, Lyon are likely to agree to part ways with Fofana, their most valuable player.

Having joined from La Gantoise in January 2024, the Aalst-born player quickly established himself as a key member of the Rhône-based side’s squad. Having been sidelined for almost the entirety of last season, Fofana has made a flying start to the 2026-27 campaign, scoring two goals in six appearances across all competitions.
