Arsenal’s hopes of signing Vinicius Junior are over after he agreed a new six-year contract with Real Madrid

The Gunners made a serious bid to sign the 26-year-old and were close to agreeing personal terms.

However, the Brazilian ultimately decided to extend his stay in Madrid by signing a long-term contract.

According to the Independent, Arsenal still plan to sign a quality left winger and have three players on their shortlist.

Manager Mikel Arteta is a huge admirer of Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez.

Barcelona are also strong contenders for Alvarez, although Atletico have made it clear they have no intention of parting ways with him

Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola is another option for Arsenal. His contract expires in 2028, but he is refusing to sign a new deal.

Liverpool are also chasing the Frenchman. The Reds are set to make a €115m bid, but PSG want €150m.

Arsenal are also considering Everton star Iliman Ndiaye. He bagged six goals and three assists last season and impressed for Senegal at the World Cup.

He is under contract until 2029, and Everton could demand a premium fee to sanction a sale this summer.
