Arsenal are finalising deals for Ecuadorian twins Edwin and Holger Quintero.
The brothers, who play for Ecuadorian side Independiente Del Valle, would be able to join Arsenal in August 2027 when they turn 18.
The 16-year-olds have been tipped for a bright future and the Gunners signing them would be a feather in the cap of their academy.
Edwin Quintero plays on the right wing and he has been likened to Brazil legend Neymar. Holger is an attacking midfielder.
Independiente Del Valle has a great reputation for developing talent in Ecuador and their former players include Moises Caicedo and Piero Hincapie.
Arsenal embarked on an aggressive recruitment drive over a year ago, kicking it off with the signing of Tommy Setford from Ajax.
More recently, they completed a deal for Shamrock Rovers midfielder Victor Ozhianvuna that was worth around £1.7million. The 16-year-old will join Arsenal in January 2027, when he turns 18.
Arsenal are competing with the Premier League’s top clubs for young talent and six of their 13 scholars in the summer joined the club 2022 or later.
Arsenal beat both Chelsea and Manchester City to the signing of winger Kyran Thompson from West Ham last year.
Still only 16, Thompson is already featuring for the Under-18s and scored in the UEFA Youth League last month.
Mishel Nduka is another talented prospect who has made the move across London and he announced on social media last month he had left Charlton to join Arsenal. He is playing for the Under-16s this season.
