FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from Arsenal this morning.
Foord joined Arsenal in early 2020 and she has gone on to score 35 goals in 94 appearances in all competitions for The Gunners. The Australian international won her first trophy with the North Londoners earlier this season when the club defeated Chelsea 3-1 in the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup final at Selhurst Park.
After getting off the mark at Arsenal, Foord will now be hoping to add further medals to her personal collection in her extended stay with the club.
After signing on again with The Gunners, Foord said “I couldn’t be happier to extend my stay here at Arsenal. I feel like I’m growing and improving being here in this environment so I don’t want to leave that. I want to continue to get better and to help the team – I enjoy going out and training every day and wanting to be better and being surrounded by world class players. This feels like the right place – the place I want to be.”
Foord joins her club and international teammate Steph Catley in signing a new contract at Arsenal this week. News of Catley’s contract extension was announced by the club on Tuesday morning.
