Arsenal attacker Noni Madueke left Wembley Stadium yesterday with a significant strapping on his left wrist after playing with a cast, according to journalist Ryan Taylor.

The Gunners star came off the bench for the Emirates Stadium club as manager Mikel Arteta attempted to chase the game after his side went 2-0 down to Manchester City.

Madueke could not influence the proceedings, as Arsenal’s quadruple hopes ended with a loss in the Carabao Cup final.

He is expected to join the Three Lions for their friendly games against Uruguay and Japan during the international break.

England will continue to monitor the Gunners forward, who picked up the knock during an accidental collision with a youth-team player in training on Friday but trained as normal the next day.

Eberechi Eze, Jurrien Timber and William Saliba have all pulled out of international duty due to injuries but Madueke is expected to be fine to play.

However, the Three Lions are unlikely to risk his fitness if the wrist is not fully healed in the coming days.

Arsenal need the Englishman fit and firing after the international break and would prefer to hold on to him.

The 24-year-old wore a cast on his wrist (as seen above) and will hope to return fully fit and ready when club football resumes next month.

The Gunners are back in action on April 4 with a trip to Southampton for the quarter-finals of the FA Cup before a trip to Portugal to face Sporting CP in the first-leg of their Champions League quarter-finals tie.

They need to win both games as the results will have a huge say on the rest of their campaign.

Arsenal are disappointed with their performance on Sunday and will have to use it as fuel going forward as they look to win the remaining three competitions they are contesting.
