Bukayo Saka took part in Arsenal's open training session ahead of their Champions League clash with Inter Milan.

Saka was on the bench for the weekend draw at Nottingham Forest before coming on for the final half an hour.

“Bukayo had a lot of minutes and he had a niggle before the game so we need to manage our players," Arteta said.

The busy run of fixtures continues for Arsenal when they travel to face Serie A leaders Inter on Tuesday night.

The start of Arsenal's training session on Monday was open to the media and Saka featured alongside his team-mates to further play down any fears of a serious issue.

Cristhian Mosquera again trained with the main group as he closes in on his first minutes in more than six weeks.

The centre-back was believed to still be a couple of weeks away from a comeback, but he made a surprising return to training last week and was on the bench against Forest on Saturday.

Riccardo Calafiori was not involved in Monday’s training session, with the Italian defender believed to still be a couple of weeks away from returning from a muscle injury.

There was no sign of Piero Hincapie either. He has been out since limping off against Liverpool earlier this month.

Arsenal travel to take on Inter knowing that their place in the last 16 is already secured.

The Gunners have won all six of their league phase matches so far but there is still plenty for Arteta's side to play for.

Should Arsenal finish in the top two of the standings at the end of the league phase, they will have second-leg home advantage in every knockout round through to the final if they make it that far.
