Arsenal have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Bournemouth striker Eli Kroupi Junior.
PSG were ready to battle the Gunners for the signature of the French forward. The 19-year-old has caught the eye of top clubs after netting 13 goals in his debut Premier League campaign.
However, according to The Mirror, the European champions have now withdrawn from the race for Kroupi Jr. This leaves Mikel Arteta’s side as frontrunners for the Cherries’ frontman.
Nevertheless, PSG are continuing to rival Liverpool for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande. The Ivory Coast international has commented on his admiration for the French team and admitted that he was a boyhood fan. Liverpool will have to overcome this hurdle, if they are to lure the attacker to Anfield.
The Athletic report that the Reds have now made contact with the German side as they hope to strike a deal. The 19-year-old is expected to fetch north of £80 million.
Elsewhere, Manchester United are continuing to recruit from within the Premier League. The Mirror say that Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye is the latest star to draw interest from Old Trafford.
During his two seasons on Merseyside, the Senegal international has repeatedly impressed. The 26-year-old is primarily deployed as a left-winger, although he can play all across the frontline.
In that respect he is similar to Marcus Rashford, who United are still working hard to offload. Barcelona’s signing of England teammate Anthony Gordon significantly harmed the chances of Rashford’s loan move being turned permanent.
Reports from Spain claim that United are now willing to negotiate a lower fee for the forward with the Catalan club. Barcelona have the option to sign the 28-year-old on a permanent deal for around £26 million. However, they are proving stubborn in their efforts to see that fee reduced.
