Arsenal goalkeeper Sabrina D’Angelo will leave the club when her current contract expires at the end of the season.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Gunners this morning.

The 31-year-old Canadian international stopper joined Arsenal in the January 2023 transfer window. She has gone on to provide competition for first-choice goalkeeper Manuela Zinsberger.

D’Angelo has made 14 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions in which she has kept five clean sheets. The player has helped The Gunners to win back-to-back FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cups during her time in North London.

Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall is expected to bolster his side’s goalkeeping union this summer. First-choice keeper Zinsberger is already under contract for the 2024/2025 campaign but she is expected to face some stern competition for the jersey. The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for Aston Villa’s Dutch international goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar and it remains to be seen whether the club get that deal over the line.

Departing keeper D’Angelo is expected to be involved in the Arsenal matchday squad for the final time when The Gunners play host to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Barclays Women’s Super League on Saturday afternoon.
