Arsenal could have England international Bukayo Saka available for selection when they take on Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium on Saturday, according to the Athletic.

The forward withdrew from England’s squad ahead of their Nations League clash against Finland yesterday after being forced off during their Nations League defeat to Greece on Thursday, limping off the field at Wembley Stadium.

However, Saka is hopeful he will be fit despite the hamstring injury, but the Arsenal medical team will continue to assess him before a final decision is made before the trip.

The Gunners have been in fine form this term thanks to the 23-year-old, with two goals and seven assists to his name in the opening seven Premier League games of 2024-25.

They have won five games and drawn the other two, and they need to resume action with a bang to keep up with both Liverpool and Manchester City at the top of the table.

Being without Saka for the trip will be a blow, and manager Mikel Arteta will hope the Arsenal star is ready for action before Saturday.

The North Londoners will also be playing Liverpool, Inter Milan and Chelsea in their run of seven games in three weeks before the November international break, and having their attacker fit for those games is necessary.

Kai Havertz is also expected to be available to face the Cherries after he withdrew from international duty shortly after the game against Southampton, but Martin Odegaard remains sidelined.
