Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. has agreed on the terms of a contract with Premier League champions Arsenal. That’s according to Gunners insider ‘HandofArsenal’ on ‘X’, considered highly reliable when it comes to news surrounding Mikel Arteta’s side.
Wide-man Vinícius has of course been linked with a surprise move to North London over the course of the last week.
Ahead of the expiration of the Brazilian’s contract in Spain’s capital in 12 months’ time, Arsenal are understood to have identified Vinícius as a real market opportunity.
The chances of a move to The Emirates actually coming to fruition for the 26-year-old have been repeatedly played down, with Real Madrid still hopeful of Vinícius ultimately committing his long-term future to the club.
As alluded to above, though, this has evidently not dissuaded Mikel Arteta and co. from pushing forward with their pursuit.
In fact, as per a report from the aforementioned ‘HandofArsenal’ on Friday evening:
‘Arsenal Football Club have personal terms agreed in principle with Vinicius Junior. Roc Nation will go armed into negotiations with Real Madrid with a monstrous offer from the English Champions…….over to you Vinicius Junior.’
