In a recent report, journalist Mark Brus stated that Arsenal have set their sights on Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson. It has been claimed that the Gunners would have to compete with Manchester City and Chelsea in the race to sign the English talent this summer.
Anderson is having an impressive campaign at the Midlands club as he has put in a string of impressive displays for them in the middle of the park. The 23-year-old has scored two goals and grabbed three assists in 41 matches for Nottingham this season across all competitions.
The English talent is currently one of the most consistent midfielders in the Premier League. Hence, he would be a massive coup for Arsenal if they could devise a way to get him on board this summer.
His current contract at the City Ground will expire in the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for the Gunners to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Anderson loves a tackle and can time his challenges well to secure possession back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind clearing the danger when required and is a good passer of the ball as well.
The English sensation can shoot the ball with power from long range and has got the eye to play some decisive passes in and around the opponent’s penalty area. Anderson mainly operates as a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as a holding midfielder or play in the number ten position if told to do so. He is already quite familiar with Premier League football and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Arsenal.
Anderson would enhance the quality of Mikel Arteta’s midfield department. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the North London club in the coming years.
At 23, Anderson has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for the Gunners to pursue this summer. Thus, Arsenal should focus on going for a player of his quality this off-season.
