Arsenal identify Real Madrid star as their ‘no.1 summer target’ | OneFootball

A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has emerged as a priority summer transfer target on the part of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

That’s according to Spanish football expert Javier Rodríguez Pascual, who points towards Rodrygo as the player in question.

The subject of Rodrygo’s future has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines across Spain over the course of recent weeks.

This comes amid claims that the Brazilian, having become somewhat disillusioned with his situation at Real Madrid, is giving consideration to seeking out a new challenge.

A number of clubs from across the continent, in turn, have been credited with an interest in bringing Rodrygo in.

And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then one such club now consider the 24-year-old as nothing short of a priority addition.

As per the aforementioned Javier Rodríguez Pascual, speaking in an interview with ‘HandofArsenal’:

‘Arsenal have made Rodrygo their number one winger target this summer. Story with @Rodra10_97. We can exclusively reveal the recruitment team at Arsenal are in unanimous agreement that Rodrygo Goes is a player who could be the difference in the hunt for major silverware.’

Active work towards convincing the Real Madrid star of the merits of a move to The Emirates is, in turn, underway.
