Arsenal in discussions with Ona Batlle over a free transfer

Arsenal are reportedly in talks to sign Barcelona full-back Ona Batlle on a free transfer at the end of the season.

The 26-year-old's contract with Barça expires at the end of the season and discussions between the Gunners and the player are currently ongoing according to journalists Laia Cervelló Herrero and James McNicholas of The Athletic.

Batlle returned to Barcelona in 2023 after three seasons in the WSL with Manchester United where she was a key player for the Red Devils.

The defender is known for her assists, particularly with deliveries from fullback and although she has only made three assists so far this season she made 12, 14, and 15 assists in her three previous seasons – with the last of those coming in a standout season for United.
