The summer window is hotting up, with Arsenal in talks for Ezri Konsa and having made a surprise approach for Spain defender Marc Pubill. They are also believed to be keen on Jules Kounde and could yet rival Liverpool for Bradley Barcola before the deadline.

Liverpool remain confident of landing Barcola, with discussions with PSG described as ongoing and the clubs still apart on valuation. Sky Germany claims negotiations continue and Liverpool are optimistic over the forward, who did not feature in the UEFA Super Cup last night. The Anfield club are also keen on his team-mate Ibrahim Mbaye in a separate deal.

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Pep Chavarria and are being linked with a surprise move for Martin Zubimendi if Enzo Fernandez departs. A Friday deadline has been set for offers for Fernandez amid interest from Manchester City, and the Blues have also been offered Arsenal youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly.

Manchester United are eyeing David Raum as an alternative to Lewis Hall. A new left-back is a priority at Old Trafford before the window shuts, with United also looking at Lewis-Skelly and Iliman Ndiaye. Luke Shaw has entered the final 12 months of his contract.

Arsenal are understood to have held further talks on Konsa after one approach was rebuffed by Aston Villa. Mikel Arteta is targeting a versatile central defender who can also cover on the right, with William Saliba and Jurrien Timber both sidelined.
