Arsenal ‘in talks’ with Galatasaray over Victor Osimhen transfer | OneFootball

Arsenal have held talks with Galatasaray over signing Victor Osimhen, The Telegraph reports, as part of broader negotiations that could also see players leaving north London.

The 27-year-old joined the Istanbul club permanently last summer for €75 million (£64.8m) after a well-publicised Napoli saga, and has long been linked with a Premier League move.

Arsenal are said to have turned to Osimhen after setbacks elsewhere. Julian Alvarez had been their priority for this window, but Atletico Madrid are understood to be unwilling to sell.

The discussions also cover Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri. Galatasaray have lodged a €45m bid for Martinelli, though ESPN Brasil reports the Brazilian is hesitant about a Super Lig move.

Arsenal are understood to have offered Nwaneri for €40m, and Galatasaray are moving ahead with a deal to sign the former Marseille loanee.

The Gunners passed on a 2024 move for Osimhen due to Napoli’s valuation, but interest has resurfaced as Mikel Arteta looks for a consistent goalscorer.

John Obi Mikel said: "I think we want to see him in the Champions League so maybe Arsenal might be the destination." He was speaking to Metro.
