The top Serie A teams were blindsided when Arsenal won the race to sign Jakub Kiwior from Spezia in January 2023 but haven’t stopped trying to bring him back to the Peninsula since he has had an inconsistent and secondary role.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Milan targeted him a year ago, while Inter and Juventus last summer as they needed a defender. The Gunners repelled them quite quickly. They didn’t want to have to look for another man and wait for him to learn Mikel Arteta’s system.
Arsenal won’t change their stance in January, so it’ll take a big offer to convince them to sell Kiwior. He won’t go out on loan. They demand more than what they spent to sign him, €20/25M.
The Polish defender isn’t a regular but is still a valuable asset, as he’s the top deputy in the back. He has come off the bench a few times in the Premier and Champions League, while he has started twice in the domestic cups. He has logged 45 appearances, 2 goals, and 5 assists with the Gunners.
He was and would still be an ideal solution for Napoli and especially Juventus, which could have used a lefty instead of Pierre Kalulu and still need a reinforcement after Gleison Bremer’s injury, as he’s versatile and already familiar with Thiago Motta. Their chase made a lot of sense but never gained too much traction, and this is the reason why. Inter would have gladly purchased him over Tomas Palacios if possible as well. The Bianconeri might try again, but they’ll need help directly from him, as they won’t be able to tender that much on the nail.
