Ngumoha was subject of interest from Bayern Munich in the summer and Arsenal are also admirers. The Athletic are reporting that Arsenal are monitoring Ngumoha's situation at Liverpool, with his current contract due to expire in 2028.

Arsenal remain keen to sign a left-winger following the exits of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard. The Gunners failed in an approach for Vinicius Junior, and also saw Morgan Rogers move to Chelsea.

However, there has been no suggestion that Ngumoha is open to an exit, while Liverpool are keen to agree a new deal. Ngumoha was born in East London and joined the Liverpool academy from Chelsea in 2024.

Arsenal eye Liverpool prodigy Rio Ngumoha as Ornstein says “there is some interest from Arsenal” amid 2028 contract watch

“I think there is some interest from Arsenal in Rio Ngumoha. There’s interest from a lot of clubs in him. I did hear over the summer that Arsenal like him,"The Athletic's David Ornstein said.

“They are allowed to like him… it doesn’t mean Liverpool will sell him. They want to renew his contract; he’s tied down until the summer of 2028.

“I don’t know of an agreement yet on a new deal, so clearly that is something they will try to progress. They have some interest in him, but I guess we have to wait and see what happens with him and Liverpool because there is no suggestion that he’s unhappy there.

“I reported he was Bayern’s top target at some point in the summer. I think they did quite a lot of work on it, but it didn’t develop. Liverpool had no interest in trading him.

“RB Leipzig were another club credited with an interest. What will be interesting to see is the game time he gets at Liverpool because, with wingers and Iraola, you’d expect him to be a real asset for them.”
