Arsenal legend calls for club to change captain

Tony Adams has been speaking again about who Arsenal should have as their captain, saying that they players were obviously going to agree Martin Odegaard should remain skipper.
Previously, Adams made a similar call, prompting Mikel Arteta to ask the squad who they wanted as captain.
The former Arsenal and England captain said, “After I made the comment about Odegaard, Arteta went to the players and said, ‘Who do you want as captain?’ And they all went…well, they’re not going to say it to him, are they? ‘We love Odegaard! Hooray!’

“Why do you need the manager then? You pick your captain, you get your rapport, you have got your vice-captains and create a bond.
“I think Declan is a leader. I think he’s a super leader and super player, and I’ve said, I feel that he should be Arsenal captain anyway.”
