Arsenal are plotting a stunning double deal that could result in them signing Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres for a combined £130 million.

The Independent claims the Gunners are actively working on a deal to sign Eze from Crystal Palace without having to sanction a big-money sale.

Arsenal have come alive in the transfer market in recent weeks, but still have to look over their shoulders due to the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

However, they’re exploring creative ways to structure payments that would make a deal for Eze viable while simultaneously trying to finalise another big-money move for Gyokeres.

Arsenal entered the summer transfer market needing to reinforce a few areas in the squad, with a priority on acquiring a midfielder and a new striker.

They have plugged the midfield gap by bringing in Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, and Gyokeres is all but set to fill the void at the top end of the pitch.

Despite bringing in Zubimendi, there are reports that the Gunners could still sign Brentford’s Christian Norgaard, although he’d be a less expensive addition.

There was a general feeling that any other major signing would have to be funded by player sales.

However, the Gunners are determined to push for Eze and are looking into flexible payment options that could make the deal possible without offloading key players.

Eze has two years left on his contract with Palace. He also has a release clause of around £60m, but there could be additional fees in potential bonuses.

Despite facing an uphill battle, Arsenal are willing to match Palace’s asking price. However, they’re offering a three-part payment plan that will allow them to pay roughly £20m per instalment.

Eze has been strongly linked with a move away from Palace this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur have expressed an interest, but he has made it clear that his preference is to join Arsenal if he leaves Selhurst Park.
