Norwegian’s injury-addled campaign left long-term future in doubt
The Norwegian is eyeing a historic end to the season as he bids to lead the Gunners to their first Premier League title in 22 years.
Odegaard also has the opportunity to become the first Arsenal captain to ever lift the Champions League.
However, in a season in which he has suffered several injuries, there have been suggestions Odegaard's long-term future in north London is in doubt.
Arsenal are expected to have to sell at least one major first-team player to fund investment this summer.
Odegaard will enter the final two years of his current contract at the end of the season but he insisted he is not thinking about a potential move.
"I don’t know where that’s coming from," Odegaard said.
"My mindset is just about doing what I can every single day to do something special.
"There’s always going to be talk and people speculating and I guess that’s normal in football but it’s not something I know anything about."
Arsenal are attempting to reach a Champions League final for just the second time, 20 years on from their defeat in Paris to Barcelona.
Mikel Arteta's side face Atletico Madrid in the last-four, starting with the first leg at the Metropolitano Stadium on Wednesday night.
It takes place in the midst of Arsenal's Premier League title push and the battle to avoid a fourth successive season finishing second.
Odegaard accepted there were scars from previous years, but urged his team-mates to use those to finally drag Arsenal over the line.
"That is always going to be there until we win [a trophy]," Odegaard said.
"That's something we have to live with. We have to take all the experiences and the lessons. That's part of football and part of the journey.
"It's the best part of the season. Everyone is up for it. Everyone is excited. It's another great opportunity for us to do something special.
"We have to take all the lessons from the past and take them into this. We're going to do that."
